Sports rituals can become potent memories, building fan camaraderie and team culture.
I was challenged with creating graphic concepts combining team sport storytelling with modern streetwear. Given the open-ended brief, I saw an opportunity to tell one of my favorite hometown sports stories. In Detroit, fans throw an octopus onto the ice during playoff runs. Its eight legs once symbolized the eight wins needed to claim the Stanley Cup, a tradition that evolved into legend.
This concept reimagines that ritual as a modern myth, translating a fan-lead tradition into a premium streetwear graphic identity across apparel and accessories.
